Waylon Bacon is a cartoonist and filmmaker initially hailing from Albany, CA. His short film work has screened at film festivals such as Comic Con International Film Fest, San Francisco’s Another Hole in the Head, and the B-Movie, Underground and Trash Film Festival in the Netherlands. His work has also been featured in online publications such as Daily Dead, Vice, and Fangoria.com. From 2017 - 2025, he served as a judge for the Albany Film Fest.

As a cartoonist, he has been illustrating the covers for the annual literary journal Beatdom since 2011. He is also the author of the webcomic Frownland, which he’s compiled into a yearly calendar that has been sold at Vroman’s Bookstore in Pasadena, CA and Powell’s Books in Portland, OR. Since 2022, he has been creating book covers for Roadside Press

He currently resides in Portland, Oregon.
